About Mamy Show Foundation

Mamy Show Foundation (MSF) is a UK-based organisation founded on 31st December 2022 by ordinary local people living and working in the UK motivated by a desire to support and care for orphans, widows, the less privileged, and the aged in the Black Country’s area of West Midlands and Birmingham in the UK.

The Foundation was founded to actively participate in the improvement of the living conditions of most underprivileged individuals. The main purpose is to help people feel they are part of society and actively work against all forms of exclusion.

We provide holistic, trauma-informed, long-term support and advocacy for orphans, widows, and the aged who are subject to or at risk of exploitation because of their vulnerability, including less privileged populations who face multiple disadvantages and have ‘complex’ unmet needs. We empower orphans, widows, and the aged to increase their safety, stability, self-belief, and self-reliance, improve their choices and life chances, and build fulfilled lives free from violence, abuse, and exploitation.

Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. - Nelson Mandela

Our Mission Statement

Mamy Show Foundation is committed to feeding the hungry, overcoming poverty, freeing people from the burden of unmanageable personal debt, helping people into affordable housing, and assisting people in a better future.

We believe that no one should face poverty, and no one should have to go through it alone. We address the underlying issues of why people are falling into crisis and tackle those reasons head-on. We do more than provide food support; we aim to assist, advise, and connect people with the additional external support they need to empower them to tackle the challenges they face. Our message is this; we care, we are here, and we will not rest until everyone we target to support in our community is free from poverty in all its forms.

Our Aims

The organisation aims to give orphans, widows, the less privileged and the aged in the Black Country and Birmingham in the UK on the one hand and in the City of Kinshasa and its outlying areas, DR Congo, Africa on the other, equal opportunities in life regardless of personal circumstances through the following distinct purposes in mind:

  1. We are implementing World Bank’s bottom-up strategy in granting the vulnerable segment of the population access to economic empowerment and improvement of the standard of living to promote social justice, equality and well-being and the education of the general public on the issues of poverty, ill health and injustice experienced by groups mentioned above.
  2. Empowerment of women (widows) and youth (orphans)
  3. Financial support to women (widows) for cottage businesses (MSME – micro, small and medium enterprises).
  4. Providing support and care for widows, orphans, youths and older people.

On a regular basis at MSF:

We run an After School Homework Club i.e. a Homework club to support underachieving school children in literacy, numeracy, and science

  • We run a Job Club to develop employability skills and opportunities among young people
  • We run a Walk-in Centre to provide support, advice, and advocacy for disadvantaged and disengaged young people
  • We run Multi Sports Club Taster for non-sporty young people.

Our Vision

Our Vision is to partner with orphanages around the world where we supply resources in support of what they are already doing. We recognise that they have the local knowledge to minister to children with no family to take care of them. We see it as a true partnership.
