She lives in the UK but grew up in Kinshasa, DRC, where she spent much time in church activities. She is a graduate of the University of Kinshasa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Economics. A Bank of Congo Governor award winner of Exceptional Financial contribution to financial literacy in DRC. She is a confident and self-motivated goal-getter who strives to be a better person through learning and sharing with others who are passionate about working with girls and women, which has been her drive to volunteer with various organizations to advocate on issues such as menstrual hygiene, gender equality and social justice, women economic empowerment and sexual reproductive health.
She is a founder of the Sandwell African Women Association (SAWA). This BME women-led organization seeks to foster social and economic development for women and girls of colour in the UK, mainly young refugee women, by creating opportunities to bridge the financial inclusion gap among women in the UK and abroad.
Here, she became inspired by the intersecting issues concerning orphans, widows and older people. Stepping in as the advocate of orphans, widows and older people, she initiated the creation of the Mamy Show Foundation (MSF), cultivating connections among her peers. Mamy’s work is directed by her desire to educate and empower all to seek and attain a fair, clean, kind world.
