Ruth lives in Kinshasa with her grandmother and two younger sisters.

Ruth lost her father in 2015 when he contracted the Ebola Virus in the Equatorial province of DRC and sadly passed away shortly after diagnosis. Unfortunately, the virus spread throughout Africa, and Ruth’s mother also contracted the Ebola Virus. Still, even though the medical authorities had been advised of how ill she was, Ruth’s mother was too sick to withstand the journey and passed away en route to the hospital.

Ruth’s grandmother, Dina, stepped in immediately and cared for the children. Still, without anyone to provide for the family, they struggled to afford the basics of living, such as food or clothing.

Thanks to your fantastic support, Ruth receives help towards school fees, rent, food and clothing. When asked how your support has helped change the quality of the family’s lives, Dina said, “This helps me to pay for schooling, rent, food and clothing” “May The Almighty God give you more”.

Ruth and her younger sisters have all received sponsorship and can now attend the same school, are healthy, have a good diet and can stay living with their grandmother, who is never short of affection and love for the children. All the children love to play games together and help their grandmother with household tasks.

Ruth would love to be a doctor when she finishes her education, and thanks God your support has made this more possible than ever before.
