10 Years Old

Pauline

Her father passed away after battling cancer in 2022.

After this event, she began living in the slums of Commune de N’djili in a two-room shelter with her family – her mother and her brother.

When he was alive, her father was the shopkeeper of a small grocery which kept the family going, but without him, they had no source of income. Their savings were spent on treating Pauline’s father’s illness, and they were left with nothing.

Pauline’s mother tried to earn money as a tailor but could not make enough to keep food on the table for her two children and send them to school. Pauline stopped going because her mother could not pay the tuition fees and became ill.

Thanks to Mamy Show Foundation’s sponsorship, all of this has changed…

Pauline is now back in education as her school fees are directly paid for, and she and her family are now less stressed as they know where their next meal is coming from.

They receive monthly food parcels which contain a range of ingredients that are all locally sourced and wholesome. This means Pauline is eating more nutritious meals, improving her health.

After being taken for health checks by the Foundation, it was found Pauline had not received much nutrition as a child. Mamy Show Foundation is rectifying this now by providing her with eggs, milk and protein biscuits.
